    (News - 27th July, 2014)

It was a great cruise, perfect weather and a lot of fun on the water with HYC friends.

IMG_2259On Friday July 18th 8 vessels met in Snow Island with a great raft up cocktail party. The appetizers provided by everyone were terrific and the sunset was perfect.

Saturday AM there were several swimmers with the water at 70 + degrees. Cliff caught two stripers before breakfast. There were lots of dinghy breakfast visits before moving on to Robin Hood. The seas and wind were relatively calm. A couple of us stopped at Seguin. The Soule’s entertained us for cocktail hour in The Robin hood anchorage. Robin hood has a great anchorage and plenty of moorings and several of us went a shore for walks, ice and showers are also provided. We had dinner reservations at the Osprey Restaurant. The fish tacos were the popular meal and the service was great.

We had a very leisurely morning on Sunday before departing for Gay Island in Muscungus Bay with a lobster dinner at Grillo’s beautiful home.  Everyone one bought salads, appetizers and plenty of deserts.  Oh and Linda’s blue berry cake was soooo good! What a great location for our final night with such get hosts. A few of us spent the night in a beautiful cove and anchorage near by.

Thanks go out to everyone especially Linda Bob Harroff and Morris Hancock and Lynn Peyton for organizing this great cruise.
