April 5, 2026 The signup form is now live! But Clubhouse & Landscaping (aka House) signups are not ready yet. We will send out an email when they are available for sign up. Our big day is Float-In on April 18, when we reinstall the dock system. That day requires a larger crew helping with the crane lift, skiffs, line handling, and reconnecting floats.
No special skills are required—there’s plenty of work for everyone. If you have carpentry experience that’s great, but general help is just as valuable. Helpful things to bring
      • Work gloves
      • Weather-appropriate clothing
      • If you have them, drills, impact drivers, circular saws, tape measure, 3/4" socket and driver, mallets / hammers, etc are very helpful for the repair and construction work.
We'd like all members to sign up by May 1  for their season hours requirements ( 15/8) There is NO LONGER any self reported hours ( to minimize administration for a total of 3000 hrs it takes to run our Volunteer club) If you have questions about the program changes, reach to Liza or Parker for details.

    • The 2025 HYC Youth Regatta is a Wrap!

      2025-07-23 20:18:09
Last Thursday we wrapped up the 2025 HYC Youth Regatta! It was a mixed bag of weather offering the 130+ young sailors a great chance to learn and compete and share the challenges under often trying circumstances. Day 1 we had next to no wind and strong tidal currents to deal with. Day 2 we had fog and then difficult winds to face and all but the Opti Green races were canceled. The kids from 10+ clubs still had a great time hanging out together at the club and on the water sailing in Casco Bay! The volunteer turn-out and effort was extraordinary. Henry Bliss, the YR chair again this year, and the amazing team working with him, once again pulled rabbits out of many hats to make this many-layered mission successful. I heard from several folks “from away” whose kids attend regattas at numerous clubs across New England that “nobody does a kids’ regatta better than HYC!” Make sure to check out our Facebook page story for more pictures of the event!
