2023 Junior Regatta Update:
We’re hosting a MIRC (Maine Inter-Club Racing Circuit), July 19th in lieu of our annual Junior Regatta. MIRCs are one line, two fleets (Opti & C420,) one day (10:30-3:30) bring your own lunch, and no spinnakers. Boats and competitors primarily arrive by water and those who arrive by land will be using our boats. This model is similar to High School and Collegiate racing.
We will need a limited number of volunteers. More details to come about that.
We plan to resume our annual two-day Junior Regatta next summer. We have a couple of possible dates when tides are most favorable:
July 15th – 17th or July 29th – 31st, 2024. The Club is seeking new volunteers to take primary responsibility for running the event. Peg Selian and Susan Tananbaum are happy to help mentor these leaders.
